Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 5 months agoHi James,
You are not the first person to use Agile and LSP in the same breath. In April at a Project Management conference, I was talking with a guy who ran a one and a half hour session on LSP and Agile. What bothered me was that he had only seen “LSP” once, at another conference and instantly thought he could lecture on the subject. He…[Read more] -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 5 months agoHello Guys,
this message is both for our admins and to the Italian members.
I see that we have LSP forums in French and Spanish. Given the number of recently trained facilitators in Italy, who might find more useful to exchange local experiences in Italian, why don’t we consider opening an Italian forum?Italian members, would you be interested…[Read more]

Eli De Friend replied to the topic Global Companies using LSP? in the forum
Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 5 months agoDear Marcos,
I seem to remember 4 years ago, when we set up the community, there was some suggestion to use salesforce.com as a way to share business leads and leverage each other’s work. There were some fairly valid arguments against this, not least of which is the fact that many companies don’t want the world knowing that they have asked for…[Read more] -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 5 months agoDoes anyone know a list of global companies that are currently using or have used LSP?
Sometimes it is useful and inspirational for our clients to learn about real companies they know that have used LSP, most likely if they are Global and/or public companies. Some of the companies I have found out they have used LSP are for instance: Ericsson,…[Read more] -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 6 months agoHi Per and Robert,
Thank you guys for the clear answers.
And Yes Robert, This was my intention, as i am not a Trainer or a Facilitator i want to get a professional point of view to answer the client. I want to stay true to the principals and methods of LEGO SERIOUS PLAY.
So one Solution is to hire facilitators to deliver those training.

Hi Hisham
I live in South Africa. It’s so far away from Europe and the US that Lego won’t deliver their Serious Play products here. I have to have them delivered in the UK and courier them to South Africa myself.
I have been earning my living for 11 years using LEGO for team building and now Serious Play. I was trained by one of the so-called…[Read more]

Jon,
Little to add to the rich answers from Joyce and Marko, only want to share that I have found it important to keep the documentation as close to their language as possible, i.e. really use the metaphors and keep them alive. This helps carry the result into the workplace afterwards
Good luck

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 6 months agoHi Jon, “where” and “what” did you learn about LEGO Serious Play (LSP)?
I know people from the Agile community who think that getting out a bag of LEGO bricks is an LSP workshop. I know people in top-ranked business schools who think the same thing (I work with one of them). But it isn’t.
The process is extremely powerful when applied…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 6 months agoHello Jon,
here my two cents on what works for me on my workshops.
– I keep separate the starter kits in order to supply one by participant on my next workshop. Eventhough I usually do that, I have had times when i decide to mix all of them and place them at the center of the table for self serve, that works too when you are short one or two kits…[Read more] -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 6 months agoHi Jon, did you do a facilitator training on the use of LEGO Serious Play? These kinds of issues are normally well covered. If you haven’t done a recognized training, I would highly encourage this. You will get informed about practical issues as well as inspiration and insight for using the method and materials. All the best, Joyce
