Who would be interested in running a LSP based empathy exercise for engineers and scientist at Rutgers University? Asking for a friend. This would be an unpaid engagement but very interesting. I have done a few of those at Hult Business School here in Boston.
Cheers,

Thanks for sharing Mark. I have been wondering myself about the influence of mini-figs on models that LSP workshop participants build and the stories they share. You inspired me to explore a session without

Dear Francesca, we are running a similar service in The Netherlands, where kids with a challenge (usually something alike autism) sort and deliver kits. We could deliver in Germany, but also at the location in The Netherlands. Anything you like. Just like Christoph we lease out anything (starter / L&I / connections / baseplates) and we sell…[Read more]

My dearest fellow LEGO Serious Play facilitators: I need your help! Together with Edwin de Vos and Peter Westenberg we have the intention to launch a social sort and lease service for LSP kits. To fit that service to the needs of our potential customers (you!) we made this small questionnaire. Will you please leave a response, so we can design our…[Read more]

Hi Alison,
Thanks for you reply… could you tell me how you kept control of the process? How did you manage to let the participants share their story? I am very curious about your approach… at first sight this would be great to use here.
Regards,

Hi all,
I am currently working as a business integration manager for a company that has bought two smaller companies… now they asked me (because they know I am a LSP facilitator as well) to design a way of getting to know each other. I am a bit reluctant about this, because I won’t have any control over the way it will be used once…[Read more]

Hi,
I recently facilitated a workshop whereby the group was divided into two big workshops (approx. 60 persons per workshop). I decided to divide the two groups into five tables of 12 persons.
Every table created a shared model whereby they gave their impression on process improvement with LEAN within their company. So in the end I had five…[Read more]

The smaller the groups, the smaller the time each group needs to share their stories, the smaller the differences…
Or otherwise: show a large timer, appoint a time keeper, or use a 1, 2 or 3 minute hourglass – that runs while someone is explaining his/her model.

Hi, yesterday I finished a two part workshop to find the improvement values in a company. The workshop had to be split in two sessions because the organisation needed to go on and couldn’t afford to shut down one day (health care). So we decided to split the LEGO Serious Play workshop in two sessions. To facilitate everything we did split the…[Read more]

Hi Manon,
a few suggestions:
– work in really small groups, so you can move on – instead of waiting for several tables to finish their discussions
– do not just set up a timeline, but use a visible timer as well – so people know when they should finish and you don’t have to scream to silence them
– make the challenges really comprehensive and…[Read more]
