I was just referring back to a workshop I ran in South Africa for the Good Financial Governance programme of GIZ (German International Cooperation) and saw that they have written quite a nice summary. While we didn’t use LSP for the whole workshop, it is nice for once to see the client explicitly appreciating the use of the methodology […] View

    Hello Jeff,

I support 100% Massimo’s suggestions as in my last workshop I made the mistake of underestimating the time it takes for just the skills building. Remember that the time you allocate is a factor of the # of exercises, the time you give them to build, the time you give them to share, the time for reflection, and of course the # of…[Read more]

mmmmmm … thinking …. the Duck exercise is adding time but little meaning. The duck in itself is a stand-alone demo and does not mix well with others … I would remove #2, then move #3 to #2, and then add new #3, to build their own personal “superpower”.
That way they are still doing skill building but they are also sharing their own personal…[Read more]

I’d like to know if anyone in the community has had the opportunity to use LSP on a personal level or for couples work. The context is the following: my wife is a Life Coach who helps individuals as well as couples with their personal lives. Seeing the potential of LSP as a great problem solving and communication tool, my wife thought immediately…[Read more]

    Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you this 4 min. video of a set of workshops I had few weeks ago.
It was a great experience though a little heavy as we held 2 workshops a day with only a short lunch break.
My client is a Private University and the participants were all administrative people working in it.
I hope you enjoy, thanks for watching.

I think that skills building is an absolute must but from what I have learned, the time allocated for it depends highly on the number of participants and the type of participants, as well as, as Marko stated, the session design. I also think that as I build experience, I will become better at time management.

Marko I like your suggestion about…[Read more]

Sean – love your gridcards concept, thank you for sharing! You might have seen that Tesla Amazing has come up with a novel idea about cards of different sizes that can be written-erased and that stick with static charge to just about any walls: http://teslaamazing.com/

Gabriel – thanks for your open description of your success and lessons learned. This is always the challenge for a facilitator – how to be well prepared, but still be ready to be flexible to changes during the session.

While you seem to be very critical about the process I would focus to what you have said – the client was happy about the…[Read more]

    Hello community,

I am taking some time to share my experience of a workshop I completed just about 1 week and a half ago.

In a nutshell, this workshop did not go as planned. I was too ambitious with timing. I was only able to complete 2 out of the three exercises. Here’s what happened.

    Timing
The workshop was scheduled from 10 am to 3:45-4:00 p…[Read more]

    Luc,

Just to confirm what the others have already said. I have used Lego Serious Play for nearly a decade now – in average 20-40 LSP sessions a year, but i have never gone to the client selling LSP. In most cases I even do not write LSP into my proposals. Clients find out about the bricks only at the last minute.

Usually the client describes me…[Read more]
