Great thread – thanks for starting Manuel
I have had a couple of unplanned ‘instant’ LSP experiences that have worked well. There is one important pre-condition though… that being that group I’m working with has already been though an LSP workshop with all the usual warmups etc.
Example.
Recently I was working with a client (over 6 months)…[Read more]

I’ve just come from training and a similar question was asked of Robert. He said ask if the team needs to discuss the issue or move on. If they need to discuss, he leaves to get a cup of coffee. In the example he gave they were done in 30 mins and ready to get back on with the workshop as planned.
Similar newbie questions like do you change the…[Read more] -

Hi Guys, I’m not sure I have really understood the “use case” to use an IT term for your knowledge platform. Isn’t the current seriousplaypro platform exactly that.? On this site, some people ask for recommendations of questions or roadmaps and others share examples of questions or approaches that they feel may be of value to others. This is an…[Read more]

Hi Manuel,
This could be interesting – I saw TrainedOn, and it looks like a fabulous platform. However I am concerned about the price! One could just use the DropBox that was made available by our instructor to just drop a bunch of case examples and it’s free (up to a certain space). It would be nice to hear from the community and see what they…[Read more]

Hi Gabriel,
Thank you for your reply.
Well confidentiality is an issue somehow which I can totally in understand.
What I still don’t understand is that the questions and results within LSP could be shared without risk, as they make only sense to those involved in the process on the one hand even pictures if not disclosing any personal or client…[Read more] -

Hi There Manuel,
I think it makes sense! The only issue I have is confidentiality. With most of my clients I am bound by a confidentiality and non disclosure agreement, which prevents me from publishing anything on the web about the work I do with them, even if do not divulge their names. What would work for me however is a secured platform that…[Read more]

Ok, as there are no replies within a few weeks I could assume that nobody is interested in a shared lsp facilitation knowledge platform.
Or was everybody to busy doing workshops?
I’d like to hype this once more as I believe that such a platform would be a huge enhancement to our collaboration and preparation processes.
What do you think?

I am looking for examples of how LSP was used to create input for an urban planning process. We are trying to use both LSP and Build the Change to help the City of Boston create a plan for the city’s future (year 2030 and going forward) that is based on the dreams, needs and aspiration of the citizens and also the children.
The planners are…[Read more]

Interesting! I assume they are for the LEGO Education version of LSP? They tend to have set numbers and the like on even the smallest of fiddle bags, and the selection of bricks seem more child oriented; more accessories, two figures, castle helmet, etc.

I came across an interesting early set called “LEGO #9338 Serious Play Polybag” of LEGO SERIOUS PLAY that was available via Amazon. If you are looking for collectors’ items then this might be interesting: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B016FWQ40G/?tag=seriousplay-20 :)

Besides your own solutions I sometimes work together with a visual facilitator who makes visual notes based on people’s stories and the things they tell in between the lines. We print those notes and sketches right at the end of the session, so everybody can bring them back to their workingplaces. Usually it’s a nice reminder – that covers the…[Read more]

Hi there,
I ran 5 full day workshops alone in this month and I came across the need to have a good workshop documentation afterwards.

How do you document your workshops afterwards and provide it to your clients? What are good solutions? What are not so good solutions? My…[Read more]

Sean,
Thank you for sharing this. It is certainly not the first nor the last time when media pick on LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology. I am absolutely sure this won’t be an issue. LEGO protects their rights over the LEGO logo aggressively, but never heard about a case when they went after an image of a LEGO construction.
I am also pretty sure there is no legal base for that – then, you couldn’t use photographs of your car, washing machine, whatever product either…
So, just…[Read more]
