    I’m assuming you already have behavioral indicators set for the competencies you want to measure. given that there is no “wrong answer” in LSP, the best LSP can do here is to try and elicit these behaviors in a group setting. From there, an independent observer/rater should be able to assess the level of the competency being measured. So LSP usage is not on the measuring of the competency per se, but on eliciting behaviors related to the competency. as for the questions to be used during the “workshop”, I’m also assuming you already have sample or test cases used for assessing competency levels.

    personally, I have started practicing with the methodology, although I have not been “certified” because of financial and logistical limitations. same with you Marko, most of my knowledge of the LSP method was acquired thru research, reading, and practice. I use it as another element in my toolbox, but I am definitely not teaching the method per se. I don’t think I am competent nor qualified (yet) to do a Train-The-Trainer of LSP.

    given that, LSP is considered open source and I hope there’s also a place for facilitators who are still working their way to get formal certification. it is expensive to get certified, but that certainly helps in differentiating one’s self in the consultancy/facilitation field.

    Hi Marko,

    There is something called a “balikbayan box”, usually used by Filipino expats/immigrants when they want to bring a lot of personal belongings back to Manila. You can use the largest one which is about 60cm x 45cm x 60cm and either have it shipped in advance or just check it in with your luggage. You can fit several kits in there.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello everyone!

    Was done with the demo before I got back to the thread, but I appreciate the feedback Massimo, Gabriel, and Hector! I’d like to share what happened:

    1) As mentioned, I ended up exercise no. 3. fortunately, they got the hang of building and getting into the flow fairly quickly, even for those who were intimidated with the bricks on the table

    2) even though we started late (30 mins to be exact), we actually extended the session by an hour and they didn’t mind. Ideally this shouldn’t happen but lucky me, yeah?

    3) appreciation of the LSP process was high. we’re now looking for ways to get the buy-ins of our management committee so we could finally get accredited.

    @Massimo
    will be sending you a separate message re: 2-hour script :)

    Thanks again everyone!
