Matt Goddard replied to the topic Question to Pencil Cup Challenge in the forum
Serious Play Pro Forum 10 years, 10 months agoHi, I’ve also used the pencil pot challenge, but to explore leadership. Like Marko I’ve given the instructions to half the team and an objective to the other half. Those with the instructions build an identical product, those with an objective build something functional and innovative. I then ask ‘what type of leadership do you prefer?’ This…[Read more]

In the last 4 years I have used LEGO® Serious Play (aka LSP) very often and the result has been extraordinary. However, due to the growing style of working remotely, I started to ask myself if I could use LEGO

However we just briefly got into is exercise in my training and I am trying to figure out how it really works, as there is…[Read more]

Sebastian replied to the topic What if somebody without formal LEGO SERIOUS PLAY training offers LSP workshops in the forum
Serious Play Pro Forum 10 years, 10 months agoHi Eli and Marko,
my 2 cents worth on this.
The ethics of being certified in LEGO Serious Play has become an issue for me also.
Originally I discovered LSP online and then got the open source documents and researched David Gauntlett, and other write ups on LSP. I then ran some workshops using LSP with some success, but then decided to learn…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 10 years, 11 months agoHi Marko,
Thanks for raising this topic. I think your own personal story is a very eloquent one and perhaps significantly more powerful one than my own, which is similar.I learnt about LSP in 2002 from Joyce Miller, who, as a freelance researcher and communications consultant working for the Imagination Lab in Lausanne, had just attended the…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 10 years, 11 months agoHello Hugues,
When you’re working with a deaf person in the group, they’d likely bring their interpreter. The main adaptation would be to give the interpreter some space / time to finish their sentences or move closer to the speaker. So make sure people don’t start talking at the same time, or at the speed of light. Everything that’s being said…[Read more]

hi Hugues
I have done this a couple of times, and the most surprising thing is that you do not have to adapt, or at least extremely little. The key difference is in how visually impaired see things, as my sponsor said it “but we see, we just see with our hands”. Thus, give the listeners time to feel the model, before or while the builder is…[Read more]

I’ve done variations of play learning, indoor and out with thousands of people over the years at staff to CEO levels… and it is a very effective method I find..

Hi Manuel, thanks for your post regarding the sorting bricks issue. I live in Argentina, and it’s quite a problem to get them. So it’s been very interesting for me to read about the way yoy use the sets. But I couldn’t understand how you manage to spend only 30′ after the workshops to sort them out again. Could you please explain…[Read more]

Manuel Grassler replied to the topic Practical Concern: how to keep your sets organized in the forum
Serious Play Pro Forum 10 years, 11 months agoOne other thing to keep your sets organized would be to borrow them. There is one service in Berlin which lends the Kits presorted and you only have to send them back afterwards! This may help especially if you are going abroad and need your sets with you.
The fees are quite reasonable.
