As part of a Live Design process which I am currently facilitating for a client, I have recently experienced the magnificent qualities that Lego Serious Play can unfold in personal coaching.
Instead of writing down the personal work- and lifeview as suggested by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans in their book ’Designing Your Life’, the client builds his answers to leading questions with the bricks and reflects on them. Facing a visual model of his individual values and beliefs and the problems that emerge in the model, turns out as a tremendous relief for him.
In the course of building with the bricks positive as well as straining emotions are released and their underlying problems become tangible and therefore manageable. We are still in the process and I am very excited to support him in building a landscape and making connections tomorrow. Would love to hear about your experiences with LSP in coaching!
