    Joel

    I’ve used a mix of creativity kits for story telling exercises – like the :Select six bricks, any six bricks, now build a model of the world’s best just using those bricks.

    Kits I’ve got in my mix
    * Creative Builder – Windows and Doors make for good insta-metaphors, and they’re loved by the participants.
    * * Creative Supplement – this…[Read more]

    Joel- I am a newbie also. I just got back from Tanzania working in a school to help develop critical thinking skills using LEGO, literature, and logic games. I am not a LSP facilitator, but I used many of the concepts to organize and adapt the concepts for what I needed. I used a few of the 10698 general sets plus a few other other general build…[Read more]

    Hi Joel – 10698 is a great starting point. There’s nothing ‘crucial’ at the start that would get in the way. I’d suggest you need a few wheels (and I seem to remember this has some), and some larger plates (bigger than 8×8). I think there are 12×4 and 8×6 in this box. I’d consider getting a few (1 per person) identical larger plates directly from…[Read more]

    Hello Serious Players!

    I’m doing all manner of work with K-12 education in Australia, working my way towards stepping in to some formal training, but I want to dabble with some of the techniques outlined in the Open Source document before I dive in formally.

    If I wanted to buy some general purpose bricks to get myself started before making the…[Read more]

    @diegomaffazzioli
    “The answer is within the system.”

    There is nothing special I do for LSP in an Agile environment. I follow roughly the same standard LSP process model: Skill building, individual models, shared model, Landscape, etc. following the ask, build, share, reflect sequence.
    I rely heavily on my professional leadership coaching…[Read more]

    Hi Lennie, can you explain a little bit more about your style in Agile teams? If possible, can you share how do you do? Thanks and best regards

    I have used LSP within Agile environments to help teams and organizations solve “wicked” problems. These problems surfaced from their transition to Agile. I used LSP as a true coaching tool not as an Agile game.
    The 3 dimensional aspect helps teams see a variety of perspectives that were not previously in view.

    Hi Fellow Facilitators,

    I recently bought some MAYKA Toy Block Tape. Has anyone incorporated it with the bricks in their LSP engagements?

    It looks like it could add an interesting dimension.

    Hi Werner,

    I believe that Marko is managing the Slack Channel. When it was first set up, I was unaware of what Slack was and when it was explained to me, I felt that it did not reflect my working habits. So I have stayed away. For communication with the seriousplaypro community, I use this WordPress-based site. For bi-lateral asynchronous…[Read more]

    Thank you everyone. Those are great ideas that I’ll look at incorporating for future tradeshows.

    It went well. I had a draw for a mini workshop.what I find out is that everyone is in a hurry at that particular event so getting them to stay and play was a challenge. Not one wanted to play when given the opportunity. But many were very…[Read more]

    I have been an Agile coach for 4 years and although not a trained LSP facilitator – not yet – I am very enthusiastic at the possibility of using LSP for coaching Agile. Any Activities you wish to share?
