Hi There Manuel,
I think it makes sense! The only issue I have is confidentiality. With most of my clients I am bound by a confidentiality and non disclosure agreement, which prevents me from publishing anything on the web about the work I do with them, even if do not divulge their names. What would work for me however is a secured platform that…[Read more]

Ok, as there are no replies within a few weeks I could assume that nobody is interested in a shared lsp facilitation knowledge platform.
Or was everybody to busy doing workshops?
I’d like to hype this once more as I believe that such a platform would be a huge enhancement to our collaboration and preparation processes.
What do you think?

I am looking for examples of how LSP was used to create input for an urban planning process. We are trying to use both LSP and Build the Change to help the City of Boston create a plan for the city’s future (year 2030 and going forward) that is based on the dreams, needs and aspiration of the citizens and also the children.
The planners are…[Read more]

Interesting! I assume they are for the LEGO Education version of LSP? They tend to have set numbers and the like on even the smallest of fiddle bags, and the selection of bricks seem more child oriented; more accessories, two figures, castle helmet, etc.

I came across an interesting early set called “LEGO #9338 Serious Play Polybag” of LEGO SERIOUS PLAY that was available via Amazon. If you are looking for collectors’ items then this might be interesting: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B016FWQ40G/?tag=seriousplay-20 :)

Besides your own solutions I sometimes work together with a visual facilitator who makes visual notes based on people’s stories and the things they tell in between the lines. We print those notes and sketches right at the end of the session, so everybody can bring them back to their workingplaces. Usually it’s a nice reminder – that covers the…[Read more]

Hi there, me again,
I was thinking if you find it interesting to share the different questions or challenges used in your workshop?
As framing challenges and questions are taking the most time in the preparation process of the workshop design I thought it would be interesting to share existing questions and challenges with other facilitators.…[Read more]

Hi there,
I ran 5 full day workshops alone in this month and I came across the need to have a good workshop documentation afterwards.
So I though about asking here for your experience and best practices.
How do you document your workshops afterwards and provide it to your clients? What are good solutions? What are not so good solutions? My…[Read more]

Sean,
Thank you for sharing this. It is certainly not the first nor the last time when media pick on LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology. While the general public rarely cares about work in private sector, I have also delivered “play sessions” for governmental institutions at different countries, which has raised interest among media. Sometimes…[Read more]

Last week I was walking down the street when my phone rang. “Hello, It’s Mark Hookham from the Sunday Times calling, I wondered if i could talk to you for a few minutes on a conference you recently facilitated?”
To cut a long story short this journalist, it turns out was writing what we here in the UK call a Hatchet Job. (Looking to damage the…[Read more]

I am absolutely sure this won’t be an issue. LEGO protects their rights over the LEGO logo aggressively, but never heard about a case when they went after an image of a LEGO construction.
I am also pretty sure there is no legal base for that – then, you couldn’t use photographs of your car, washing machine, whatever product either…
So, just…[Read more]

A client wants to print 20 mouse mats with a photograph of their shared LEGO Serious Play Vision model.
The printer asked if they had permission from LEGO to do so.
Would I be right in advising the client this will not be needed, or will the LEGO legal team be suing my client for infringement of LEGos IP?
Any advice most welcome! – thanks Sean

Not sure that I understand your question. Can you please elaborate with some examples what types of inputs are you looking from the community?
Kind regards,

Hi, I’ve also used the pencil pot challenge, but to explore leadership. Like Marko I’ve given the instructions to half the team and an objective to the other half. Those with the instructions build an identical product, those with an objective build something functional and innovative. I then ask ‘what type of leadership do you prefer?’ This…[Read more]

Hi Manuel.
Indeed, I have used pencil cup/letter dog exercise as a simple ice-breaker, but it is the most powerful in an instance where you have a relatively bureaucratic company looking for more flexibility. In those situations where the company past has fostered the truisms that the procedures, budgets and instructions are paramount. What I…[Read more]
