Eli De Friend replied to the topic Long term strategy for large TV Station in the forum
Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoDear Sebastian,
I hope you are doing well. Congratulations on getting this mandate. Some readers might not be aware that your “local TV network” may be broadcasting to up to 25 million people!
My first advice is not on method, but staffing. For 30 people, if you have not already considered it, I would strongly recommend working with a trained…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoHi guys,
I am doing a 2 day workshop with around 30 CEO.. Board of Directors and management of a large local tv network.
They want to do a long term strategy on 3 topics
1. What channels or content to develop for the future
2. What platforms to invest in..ie broadcast,
3. What infrastructure to develop in
They already know the overall big…[Read more] -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoPatrizia – there are 46 current members of our community who claim to be proficient to facilitate in Italian language: http://seriousplaypro.com/members/?s=Italian.
Let us try to see if they would be willing to join the discussions and see how to best take it from there. :)

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoI agree with you Marko!
I think that more than marketing and taking care for their business, the community is a learning opportunity – there are more applications, case studies, experiences involving LSP and those who miss the updates, also miss the opportunity to keep up to date with the trends and can miss opportunities.
If language is a…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoPatrizia and Eli – thanks for your points. It is a healthy debate to see how much should we keep the discussions in the centre and how much should be localised. A couple of additional points.
First of all. Provided that there is so far no topic interest for dedicated Lego Serious Play and Business Model Canvas forum, let us concentrate those…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoHi guys,
I was curious about your mention of using LSP to create empathy in Design Thinking. While we may all agree that LSP might have the power to facilitate empathy, though I’m not sure that is its primary goal. If you look at IDEO’s main web site, they don’t mention empathy – it’s only when you go to their ideo.org site that you find them…[Read more] -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoLocal communities seem less active than the big forum.
but I think the role of the moderator is to bring any relevant issue or interesting question that emerges into the local communities to the attention of the community at large. Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoTo my knowledge, the role of moderator has never been discussed in the seriousplaypro community. I must admit I don’t necessarily read every post, though I try to. The concept of communities within communities was discussed, but not how they would function. In fact, until you mentioned it, I was unaware of a French or Spanish speaking community.…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoEli,
I really thought that the role of the moderator was exactly to link local communities to the international one, share the community collective knowledge, and act as a bridge and connector between local and international experiences… What’s the point of the moderator otherwise?… -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoGood point Patrizia.
Maybe every special community that is set up should have a mediator / spokesperson / ambassador in the general community, like the role you are suggesting you would play for the Italians. -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoEli,
I agree with your points about both concerns Canvas and language related groups.
I think that for the BMC it could be useful if we’d start using tags appropriately.
If participants would also take the time to use Tags, it would facilitate to keep all different applications and uses in the same main forum, but at the same time, it would make…[Read more] -

Serious Play Pro Forum 11 years, 1 month agoHi Marko and Macrina,
In the original vision of the community, we imagined that there would be communities within communities and as we have just seen the birth of the Italian-speaking community, this notion is alive and well. However, when Patrizia suggested creating her Italian-speaking community, my first reaction was negative. While, I…[Read more]

James asked for recommendations. I offered some recommendations of people I know, who are both trained LSP facilitators, and agile practitioners. I leave it up to James to determine if the people are a fit for his purposes. As he’s not said what the event is ands what precisely he’s looking for, then I trust that he can ask these people for…[Read more]
