Hello Omar, I am willing to participate!
April 28, 2015 at 2:01 am #5245Marcos CedilloParticipantHello Martin, thanks for posting that question, it is a very interesting topic.
In my opinion from what I see and what I believe based on recommendation from books and facilitators training… the image you are showing at the meet up site does not infringes LEGO’s copyrights or trademarks… but lets see if the topic gets more responses and maybe some different.
I believe most of us have seen ourselves wondering if the use of the image is right or not.best regards!

You mentioned the group was going to be 20 participants, I would do one of these 2 scenarios:
1- Split the group in half and have 2 separate sessions.
2- Have them all together in the room but use a facilitator assistant so you can have 2 tables of 10 working at the same time, you give one general instruction or “Challenge” and the two tables work separately on the construction and storytelling. this will save you time and gives you more control, not to mention the experience of the people will be best in groups of ten rather than 20.
regards.

all your comments were useful for me, let me tell you that the session last month went great!
They were 10 participants and half of them knew each other and the other half didn’t (even though they work in same company). I went through the classic warm up, and included in my workshop design activities to bring out of them the current state of the company and then they built the future aspiration for end of 2015. The interesting part was all the discussions around both models and how they could accomplish goals for 2015 they have defined themselves. After the workshop was finished, I asked the leader if the experience changed his idea about LSP and he said, definitely yes… before today I wouldn’t have payed for a business workshop with Lego, now I would pay, I see now value.
Thanks all for your comments when I posted the question, and I am sorry It took me a month to let you guys know how it went.
Saludos!

I have been hesitant to talk too much about LSP and its benefits and magic in a “real” workshop, as I rather want the participants to discover it by experience, but in this case I agree it is necessary because of the bad experience that had in the past.
thanks!

MarcosOctober 17, 2014 at 7:34 pm #2851Marcos CedilloParticipantHello Jon,
here my two cents on what works for me on my workshops.
– I keep separate the starter kits in order to supply one by participant on my next workshop. Eventhough I usually do that, I have had times when i decide to mix all of them and place them at the center of the table for self serve, that works too when you are short one or two kits to the number of participants.
– when I use the exploration bag, for instance, i introduce it separately for the part of the workshop we will be using it. and this kit I always keep it separate, I use small ziplock bags.
– to transport the material, I use a big suitcase so everything is inside and i can easily carry it from my car to the room where the workshop will be, I also have a couple of plastic lego organizers for the tiny little things, I carry them in the suitcase too.unfurtunately in LSP the handling of material and transportation is not so practical as we would wish, so I believe we will always be looking for better ways to make it easier for us as facilitators!.
I don’t complain… I look at sorting as a playtime with my son! :)
greetings!
