Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years agoHello Ariel,
This is an answer to your 2nd question. Only if the other methods are for ice-breaking, reactivating or relaxing after hours working, thinking, building, sharing, etc., then I might recommend it. Be careful not to take the group out of flow!
To your first question…
For an industrial process, you will have probably a mixture of…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years agoGreetings,
I am planning a workshop which will include LSP (hybridized with creative thinking techniques) for improving an industrial process – the way a specific team works within a specific station in the construction line. A classic LSP opportunity, the participants include line workers, managers, engineers etc.
If anyone has experience in…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years agoHi Phek,
Mathematically it should be in the 10s or hundreds of thousands of combinations or permutations or possibly even more..
In reality in my experience if I ask 50 people to build ducks.. about 3 to 4 would be similar though not exactly so.However all 50 are building a duck according to how their hands and minds sees a duck.
If you…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years, 1 month agoHi. Does anyone know how many ways (possibilities) of building the duck (6 pcs)? I recently approached by some clients here. I’m trying to get a close to approximate possibilities:)

Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years, 2 months agoyou’ve done great with this person. Please let us know how it works out. As the other colleagues said, they are more prepared than we are. And I think that it really helps us, as facilitators, to understand better the power of metaphore and story-telling……………… maybe, because I myself am so bad at building, that I always trust the other…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years, 2 months agoSafak,
I had this happen once. The person had a basic, unmoveable, prosthetic hand, which I only realised after I had distributed the fiddle packs. I asked him if he wanted help, with me guiding him, or something. He said no, he’d manage on his own with one working hand, and the prosthetic to hold things in place.
So, my suggestion is this: ask…[Read more]

Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years, 2 months agoA great challenge Safak! I find myself thinking of ways to use the handicap as an opportunity to be creative with the builds and build empathy with other participants. For example, how about a round where everyone has to build their model with only one hand?
We also did a great pair activity at the North American LSP facilitator’s meeting last…[Read more] - Load More
