The PDF on User Requirements with Lego can be found at https://d3gxp3iknbs7bs.cloudfront.net/attachments/c6a2cc2e83a9849916a88ffc6548b6736cc51250.pdf Let’s just share links folks to things that are readily available.

I had this happen once. The person had a basic, unmoveable, prosthetic hand, which I only realised after I had distributed the fiddle packs. I asked him if he wanted help, with me guiding him, or something. He said no, he’d manage on his own with one working hand, and the prosthetic to hold things in place.
So, my suggestion is this: ask the person what they would like to do. Explain the basic process, and point them to a video of what happens perhaps, and then let them decide. Do not decide for them. Rather, reach out to the organiser to get the person’s details and talk them.
I would also not suggest that you do a paired ‘each person uses one hand’ session without asking the person either as this might be considered something which highlights their situation more than they would like.
Play well :)

assuming/hoping the timezone works ok for me, then I’m in. I’d like to try this out too. Thanks for proposing the idea.

there is an LSP training session in Hamburg in a few weeks time if that helps. https://www.eventbrite.de/e/strategicplay-fundamentals-on-lego-serious-play-april-2015-facilitator-training-registrierung-15648535190
I trained with Katrin, and can highly recommend her as an LSP trainer and facilitator.

I agree with what Marko has said and would only add two comments:
First, the firm probably doesn’t appreciate how useful LSP can be, and that is why they only gave you 4 hours.
Second, as they don’the know how useful this will be make sure they go away with ‘actions’ to implement and a subtle note of how you would take this further with LSP at a later date. This doesn’t have to be a one-off event and you want to leave the door open.
Good luck and play well!
January 19, 2015 at 7:59 am #3851Bruce ScharlauParticipantI’ve done similar short sessions with students. Given universities are international places, and that there is ALWAYS someone who’s not used Lego before, I strongly urge you to not skip the bridge building exercise. This also provides the transition period between when they are coming from whatever they did before to settle down to the serious questions you will be posing to them. You can’t really skip this cross-over time, so use it to help refresh those who’ve not played with Lego bricks, and to introduce them to the new folks.
I would also, as part of what Sebastian said, look at challenges they face in pursing their chosen career. If you reframe one of his questions this way, then it sounds like a good session.
November 13, 2014 at 2:27 pm #3483Bruce ScharlauParticipantEli,
James asked for recommendations. I offered some recommendations of people I know, who are both trained LSP facilitators, and agile practitioners. I leave it up to James to determine if the people are a fit for his purposes. As he’s not said what the event is ands what precisely he’s looking for, then I trust that he can ask these people for more information.

if you want more direct connection with agile and LSP then these people are trained in both, and are people I know in the agile community.
Olaf Lewitz
Steven Holyer
Jens Hoffmann Jens is also half of the StrategicPlay team in Hamburg.
All of them can do what you need and work in the agile field on a daily basis and also speak and run workshops to software developers and coaches at conferences.November 12, 2014 at 9:10 pm #3475Bruce ScharlauParticipantJames,
I can help you out. I’m a trained LSP facilitator, who uses this and other games with my students for teaching software development, and also in my clients in my consulting work. While I’ve not worked as a coach of a team, I am familiar with what they do from conversations and collaborating with them at agile coach camps and the ALE conference series. You’ll find more details on my presentations page.
Get in touch directly if you want to discuss this further.
