Ziplock bags and resealable bags have been my best asset for porting and sorting the Lego kits. I’ve converted my starter kit boxes to resealable bags, and this has meant that I can add Kit labels, team labels, session names and details. Same for my collection of LSP ducks, and the LSP window exploration kits – small ziplocks and a handful of…[Read more]

Hi there. I recently did run a three location LSP workshop using video conferencing. It’s a challenge, and it takes some background preparation (including, in my case, background mistake making), but it can be done. I had a split of 8 local, 3 in remote location 1, and 1 in remote location 2. From what I’ve heard, everyone felt they got…[Read more]

Hi Richard,
This is not a bizarre question at all!!! In fact, i have been asked previously for same similar situations……
In my humilde opinion, there is a slight way to get this done – but you will definitely loose the “in the flesh” instances and minor captions you could get when you conduct the workshop by person.
If you have a great…[Read more]

An option, if they’re asking for a short exercise with a common outcome.
Depending on what the scope of the exercise (and the venue), you could pull together a Lego exercise using the Duck Kit (6 bricks x 300 people).
You’ll be best friends with the Lego Pick a Brick feature, and I’d suggest that what you want to do is select a wide range of…[Read more]

Hi Idan,
In my humildy opinion, warm up exercises are crucial for skill development.
In my cases, i take a full hour just to warm up.
I’m not in favor of all the exercises you would like to do in 2.5 hours. I wouldn’t do in that fashion.
What about less topics to include?
Have fun,

I’m not aware of how Strengths Finders Trainings are delivered. I have used the tool on my previos work at Hewlett Packard and it’s very powerful.
Since the tool i used was 100% online, I would like to hear on how to get the same learnings on LSP! :) -

I’m using the Starter Kits for the sessions. I’ve been avoiding group builds with those kits because of the nightmares I have about splitting the 291 pieces back out at the end. (I have 11 kits. One kit is missing a 1×1 round piece. I am dreading looking through all kits to find it). I also emphasize to my cohorts that that for group builds, you…[Read more]

I’ve been running LSP sessions on a two hour window – using the first “half” as a skills training, (construction, metaphor, story making), and then using a custom piece for the second “half”. The current custom piece is a “Past, Future, Present” make a model in 3 minutes (done three times), then explain the combined three piece model to the other…[Read more]

@massimo Hello Massimo,
In the last thread, you mention about a script to run your session.
I have builded one in Spanish, if you would like to trade. That said, i’m curious to ask if you could share yours with me, so i can have one more vision on how to create this type of scripts.
Have fun,
Rodrigo

Hi Sofie,
I always ask the participants what them would like to hear.
At some point in time, them are the “owners” of the activity…. :)

Hi!
I would recommend to give as much as 2 minutes per participant during warm up.
In my perception, the power of the methodology arises on the exercices after the warm up, not during it…..

Hi Hugues,
I just found your note, im basically on the same subject.
What about some ideas i found netsurfing the web:
1) building a duck with 7 pieces
2) removing 3-4 pieces and explaining why it is still a duck
3) build a tower
4) build your ideal neighbor with the mini figure and 5 additional pieces
5) build the same day, 3 hours earlier

Hi!
In my oppinion, a consumer insight is the moment of “aha!” that aligns the questions on the company with the responses on the participants of the LSP workshop.

Hi Matevz,
Great opportunity you have!
If i were in your shoes, i would take the advantage of getting people to understand the power of a metaphor and the 3d perspective, all at once.
So, as an introduction exercises (similar as in a warm up), i would have them create a version of themselves with the mini-figure and a maximum of 5 additional…[Read more]

Hi Martin,
What I have done is to use LSP as a methodology for both parties to express them perspective on a certain topic.
So, my process is quite simple: introduction (warm-up), then perspectives and insights on subject a, then on subject b and then to have both sides to create a potential stabilized solution with a core concept of a and…[Read more]

Yes of course I like to share. Keep in mind I always try to stick to the original scripts from the manuals. My adaptations are only in the questions I ask, that are specific to the situation or the customer. Oh, by the way, you probably noticed I am not here often, once a month or sometimes two months
