Thanks for sharing Robert. I would even go as far as to say not only is the why-circly relevant to our selling, it is also what we are asking into in the identity framing of our Real Time Strategy workshops

This video interview is strictly speaking not about play, but about games, learning and systems thinking. Nevertheless, I found it an interesting way to spend ca 7 min of my time. Katie Salen is from the Institute of Play

hi Per,
it is indeed a great book (and I believe a book that also Marko has recommend on this site). Personally, I have also quoted in a couple of articles and blogs. I really like his notion about how it helps “prepare” us for ambiguity -

Here is an interesting attempt to define play In short the author defines it as “the recognised, negotiated, process of a purposeful shift in the dominant meaning; and contextual attribution of value, of

During the last few months there have been numerous issues with trying to place orders for LSP kits into Canada. We have been in correspondence with LEGO head office in Denmark trying to get the situation corrected. Today, I received the news that this was indeed a systems issue. LEGO is working to correct this

In August of 2010, Phil Culhane attended the Strategic Play™ Facilitator Training offered in Vancouver. He is now facilitating workshops with a variety of people working in organizations. In an email that he sent me he commented: “One of the things I’m noticing is that laughter starts VERY quickly whenever we use the Strategic Play tool based on

On a different but related note: Does any one have any Window/exploration bags to spare? I have an upcoming workshop where I would love to do skills building with the bag, but I dont have enough. I can either buy the outright or simply ship new ones to you once they are back in production

hi Carlos
As I (we) dont have a space of our own, our situation is a little different. However, yes the materials are a separate line in the proposal. On occasions I leave up to the client to decide afterwards if they want to purchase the model/bricks. I always ask the client to buy some sort of kit for the opening (skills building) -

Per – are there still none of the old fiddle bags available?? We are running out of stock so I had best start keeping an eye on this. I thought they had stock for 3 years? Are they not making them any longer? I thought they were popular? Hope all well with you, Regards

hi Denise
There are, or should be, fiddle bags (exploration bags), at least in Europe. From what I know, the local distribution centers sometimes run out, and then mistakenly the consumer service (ie the call center where we order) reports that they are sold out. All is well here. The spring was great, lost of business (playfull business that is).…[Read more]
