Hello Hugues,
When you’re working with a deaf person in the group, they’d likely bring their interpreter. The main adaptation would be to give the interpreter some space / time to finish their sentences or move closer to the speaker. So make sure people don’t start talking at the same time, or at the speed of light. Everything that’s being said…[Read more]

Hi
I am asked to involve a blind or a deaf participant in a LSP workshop. Does anyone have a similar experience ? Any advice, for example by adapting the process ?
Thank you and best regards Hugues -

hi, I am wondering if any of us has some guidance or principles to follow if you have to be both a participant and a facilitator at the same time? Are there any documented things to avoid if one has to do this? Is it of any value? Can we subvert the behaviours enough to be of true value to the outcome? I am thinking particularly for a team…[Read more]

Hi Enrique.. Would be happy to help. I’m based in Indonesia though.. I don’t know if that Asian perspective helps you?
I’ve done variations of play learning, indoor and out with thousands of people over the years at staff to CEO levels… and it is a very effective method I find..

Hi there,
Finally my first 2 day RTS Workshop is at hand.
I have been asked by two process consultants to conduct a strategy LSP Workshop for their client.
The client is a 100 employee big family owned business in the automotive industry. There are 4 brothers who hold a share of 25% each and they have very differing views on the company and…[Read more] -
Manuel Grassler replied to the topic Practical Concern: how to keep your sets organized in the forum Serious Play Pro Forum 9 years, 6 months ago
One other thing to keep your sets organized would be to borrow them. There is one service in Berlin which lends the Kits presorted and you only have to send them back afterwards! This may help especially if you are going abroad and need your sets with you.
The fees are quite reasonable.

What I did was using the Architecture Set for Service Desing.
Actually I build the environment for e.g. a service desk or a Point of Sale using the monochromatic bricks of the Architecture Studio Set. Then I put in the minifigures and certain intraction points in colored bricks.
With this set up it is easy to point to human/ customer…[Read more]

Hi Jan,
I understand your issues with sorting the bricks and I have spend a lot of time figuring out what works for me.
As I do not think that it is a good way to buy new sets all the time for the clients either on the environmental perspective or on the practical perspective (what is the client doing with a lot of lego bricks without a…[Read more]

Hi Manuel,
Re your questions on what I assume are significant deviations from the stated objectives I would say no.
However deviations from the script and workshop ‘activity blocks’ are something I frequently have to do for the following reasons:
1. Unearthed info coming out of the discussion strongly suggests a different set of challenges and it…[Read more] -

Thank you Manuel for your interest, and yes, I will continue doing things to try. After this first round, it could happen 2 things:
1- A second round with 1-1 interview
2- A second round with group work (4/5 people)Stay tuned, and jump as soon as you have time.
At the end, I will post the results and my thought here for sure. Thanks,

Hi Omar,
I’d like to participate too, unfortunately I am not available on any of the dates due to my vacation. You still need participants after the 14th of June? Then I will have some time!
Cheers Manuel

Hello again,
Thanks Marko for the flag the time-zone concern. I thought that doodle handled the Timezone by default, but it was not the case, and it didn’t allow me to change that option in the already existing poll. Due to this, I delete the that poll, and I created a new one with the right support for the time zone.

Thanks for your points Eli,
Well I am definitely a Stick-to-the-Plan guy if it comes to workshops. The power lies in framing the different challenges with the ultimate goal of the workshop in mind.
The suggestions in using flipcharts or stickies is well suitable. And I do not want to compromise the method in any way.
However workshop reality…[Read more]

Good point Marko. In theory, doddle.com handles that based on your configuration.
For example, The first slot available is May 29th from 7:30AM-8:30AM (EST time). You should see that slot in your time zone. Let me know if that is not the case.
Thanks,
