Facilitator Training in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology, LEGOLAND, California

Come join us for fun and learning at LEGOLAND California as we explore LEGO® Serious Play® Methods for Teams and Groups! We’ll be just steps from the entrance of LEGOLAND and only 5 minutes from the beach here is sunny Southern California.
Students who successfully complete the training receive a Facilitator Certification in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, an internationally-renowned facilitation process used by organizations to engage participants to generate innovative ideas for organizational improvement. The methodology is based on extensive research and enables teams to address complex issues in a fun and engaging way.
Who should attend?
Facilitators, trainers, educators, HR professionals, project managers, coaches, consultants, university professors, teachers, branding professionals, and strategists can be trained to apply this methodology to implement this powerful process in the work they do.
Additionally, if you work as a researcher, I.T. professional, executive/life coach, or leader in your organization, your certification in this methodology can bring enormous benefits and is a strong addition to your toolkit of techniques.
Teams & Groups Program Overview
Day One: Foundation Program
Learn the basics on the first day with an introduction to the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods. You will learn how to facilitate an LSP workshop using Accelerated Learning and flow theory. You’ll discover how to set the playing field, what is good play etiquette, and where the traps are to avoid along the way. Learn to start with the fundamentals of how to prep the hand-brain connection using the basics of skill building. Background theory is provided along with lots of hands-on learning.
Day Two: Teams and Groups
The second day moves participants thorough processes where individual identity within a team is explored and insight is gained into how the tools can be customized for a variety of different LSP workshops and processes with a focus on workshops for teams and groups.
Day Three: Landscape and Systems Development for Teams and Groups
The third day of the training will provide you with an understanding of how to use LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® identity and landscape materials kit to build 3D models that illustrate complex environments where entities like teams, projects and other interconnected systems function and how these environments “play out” in real time.
By the end of the 3 days of training you will be able to facilitate your own workshops for teams and groups. You will be provided with outlines to various potential workshops you can run as well as the skills to modify and/or create your own workshops using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods provided.
