Lego Serious Play Imaginopedia

My name is Kate and I am blogging to share impressions with you about the second day of our internship. To be honest, today was awesome day. This day begun from interesting lecture about business models and marketing by Marko Rillo.

The lecture was interesting, because we had a discussion about every topic and all our points of views and answers on questions were heard and discussed. To test the information we gained during lecture, we started with different creativity exercises.

The first exercise contained 3 challenges from the Starter Kit Imaginopedia.

The first challenge was “Inside the soap box”, where we created go-carts for kids that can be sold the next year. For me, it was pretty difficult to come up an idea.  The second challenge was closely connected to the first. We had to “Push the car further”, in other words we had put some idea on previous car, that allowed kids to do some fun movement. Ohh… And the last one was stunning….. We had to “invest” in some product, that would help company stay on the top. Anyway…we did it and I gained pleasure of doing these types of exercises.

After that we had to construct a helicopter. But not off the top of the head. We had a very precise description of each LEGO part according to which the helicopter had to be built.  Following this description we had an entire helicopter ready, which was a tedious task. Thereafter we just had to build another chopper. The main idea was to put all LEGO part together for the second model as fast as it possible.  Was pretty interesting, but this exercise gone wrong. :( I spent many time, to do it. But it depend on me…Hmm.. .. Not in whole….. Rather I needed more coffee to realize that happened on this moment :D Now, Dan goes on ;)

Hello everybody! Dan is here again!

So continuing with today’s  story we then had some theoretical studies about clients, costs and businesses. It took for about 1.5 hrs, but it was completely worth it!

After that we had to build some random people and companies which could use LEGO’s for their business. When we had done it we also had to make up their personalities and their character traits. I was not the active one today, because for some reason I have been feeling dizzy for quite some time already. So as soon as I started with my part of the blog, I am going to end it as well! :-)

All the best,

Dan&Kate
